On 14 January 2026, Juan Carlos Carcedo signed as first coach of FC Spartak Moscow until the summer of 2028.
Primera etapa en la Premier rusa (2012)
Unai Emery y su cuerpo técnico fue llamado para dirigir el emblemático equipo ruso Spartak de Moscú, que, además de liderar la liga rusa, participaba en la Europa Champions League. Los exigentes objetivos del club y una sucesión de partidos sin ganar impidieron que el cuadro técnico puediera finalizar la temporada, aunque supuso una primera y enriquecedora experiencia internacional.
The first stage at the Russian Premier (2012)
The Unai Emery´s coaching staff were signed to manage the emblematic Russian team Spartak Moscow, that were competing in the Russian league and the UEFA Champions League. Various circumstances, including the club’s high expectations and a disappointing run of form, prevented the coaching staff from finishing the season. This was the coaching staff’s first experience outside of Spain, which was very valuable.
